About the opportunity:
An award-winning UK estate and block management group is hiring a Service Charge Accountant to support its Manchester operation. The business manages large residential developments across the UK, administering over £20m in client service charge budgets, and has been recognised at the Negotiator Awards and ACE Awards for both its property management and as an employer.
This role sits within the Client Accounting team and offers genuine ownership of a portfolio of managed estates, with close collaboration alongside Estate Managers, external accountants and clients.
What makes the role exceptional:
You'll take full responsibility for the client accounting of your own portfolio rather than working in a narrow, transactional pocket of the finance function. Reporting into a Service Charge Accounts Training Coordinator means structured support to progress, whether you're working towards qualification or building service charge expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage annual service charge budgets, apportionments and periodic billing to leaseholders
- Prepare end of year service charge accounts ahead of external accountant review
- Complete monthly
