A fast-growing furniture rental and home staging business is looking for a Procurement Specialist to support the growth and efficiency of their procurement function. Working closely with the Design Procurement Manager, you'll focus on supplier sourcing, cost optimisation, inventory management, and order execution - ensuring projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities- Supplier Management & Sourcing: Support research, identification, and onboarding of new suppliers across furniture, accessories, kitchenware, and bedding. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and monitor supplier performance on lead times, quality, and reliability.
- Procurement & Ordering: Place orders based on approved spec sheets, ensure accuracy of product, quantity, and specifications, track orders from placement through to delivery, and resolve supplier issues including delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Cost Optimisation: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality, support pricing comparisons and supplier evaluations, and contribute to improving margins through smarter sourcing and negotiation.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels and availability across key categories, support stock planning and replenishment, maintain accurate inventory records, and flag risks relating to shortages or overstocking.
- Reporting & Insights: Track and report on procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, stock levels), provide data to support decision‑making, and maintain clear procurement records. Support the company's ESG mission by contributing to responsible supplier selection and tracking ESG performance across the supply base.
- Essential: Experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management; strong negotiation and supplier management skills; high attention to detail and organisation; ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines; strong Excel or data analysis skills.
- Desirable: Experience in interiors, furniture, or homeware; experience with ERP or inventory systems; experience in fast‑paced or startup environments.
- Commercially minded and cost‑conscious; proactive and solution‑oriented; a strong communicator and collaborator; comfortable working with structure while adapting to change; takes ownership of execution and delivery.
This role reports to the Design Procurement Manager and supports procurement delivery across all projects.
