A growing and dynamic residential real estate investment and management business with an expanding international portfolio is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its London office. The London team has developed a substantial portfolio across residential sectors including serviced apartments, private rentals, and houses in multiple occupation. The business is committed to improving local communities and offering long‑term, sustainable housing solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, collaborative in‑house legal and corporate governance team, providing essential support to the Head of Legal. The role offers exposure to all aspects of the business from operational and investment matters to company secretarial and compliance functions, working closely with senior management and international colleagues. The role is based in Central London, easily accessible by public transport. The company operates a hybrid working policy of three days in the office and two days working from home (four to five days in the office during the first three months).
Key Responsibilities- Support the completion of a project to migrate and update the legal filing system to SharePoint
- Manage document control and maintain accurate records for legal and company secretarial functions
- Prepare and file statutory documents with Companies House
- Maintain company records, including share registers and statutory registers
- Collate and record KYC documentation, liaising with international colleagues as needed
- Arrange execution of legal documents and manage document flow
- Assist with budget management, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices
- Support property transactions and liaise with conveyancers on individual unit sales
- Maintain internal trackers for deals, deadlines, and records
- Undertake ad hoc data management tasks with Companies House and the Land Registry
- Provide general administrative support to the legal and company secretarial teams
