Salary: £55,000 DOE + up to 20% bonus
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week | Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:30

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead a large, heritage residential estate in London. The estate comprises over 600 homes across a vibrant community, and this role is central to delivering exceptional operational performance, resident experience, and staff leadership. You will oversee the onsite team including property, leasing, and estates staff, ensuring excellent service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with all health & safety and tenancy requirements. This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact on a historic estate undergoing exciting developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 7 direct reports, fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture
- Oversee operational management, including property maintenance, service delivery, budgets, and contractor management
- Drive leasing, rent reviews, and arrears management while ensuring excellent resident experience
- Monitor commercial performance and deliver additional income streams where appropriate
- Liaise with residents, clients, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships
- Support major onsite projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience managing property, estate, or residential operations, ideally in BTR, PBSA, or hospitality-led environments
- Experience leading teams of 6+ staff
- Strong financial and operational management skills
- Knowledge of tenancy types, service charges, and H&S compliance
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
