We're working with a well-established property business based in the heart of the City to recruit a Property Accountant with strong commercial real estate experience and a solid credit control background. This is a hands-on finance role sitting at the intersection of property management and financial reporting – ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows their way around Qube.

The Role

  • You’ll be embedded within a collaborative operations and finance team, taking ownership of the full property accounting cycle across a designated commercial portfolio.
  • From daily bank reconciliations to monthly NOI reporting, you’ll be the financial engine behind the portfolio – ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls throughout.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the annual budget process in close partnership with property managers, and conducting monthly income and expenditure reviews for NOI reporting.
  • Taking ownership of credit control across the commercial portfolio – proactively chasing arrears, managing aged debt, and ensuring rent is collected on time.
  • Raising monthly rent charges and running weekly reasonableness income tests across your designated portfolio.
  • Reconciling the bank on Yardi on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring all unidentified items are posted correctly and promptly.
  • Running service charge and other portfolio charges, ensuring move-in and move-out transactions are accurately updated on Qube.
  • Building strong working relationships with the operations and finance teams to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Proven experience in a property accounting role within commercial real estate – this is essential.
  • Strong credit control background, with a track record of managing arrears and reducing aged debt in a property environment.
  • Qube experience is a must – you’ll need to hit the ground running.
  • Familiarity with Yardi is advantageous.
  • Highly organised with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A team player who can build relationships across finance and operations.
