An ambitious, entrepreneurial property developer is entering a pivotal phase of growth. With a strong track record in traditional residential development and clear plans to expand into the operational living space, the business is building a platform designed to scale across the UK and selected European markets.
To support this next stage, the company is seeking a Head of Finance to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and act as a trusted partner to senior leadership. This is a high-impact role offering genuine influence over financial strategy, reporting and operational decision-making.
The role involves leading financial operations across a growing multi-entity, multi-project platform, working closely with the CEO, development leadership and project teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Control & Reporting
- Leading the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust controls, accuracy and consistency across all entities
- Producing monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, KPI dashboards and board-level reporting
- Providing clear, insightful analysis to support senior decision-making
- Managing statutory reporting, compliance, taxation and group consolidation across UK and European operations
- Business Partnering & Commercial Insight
- Acting as a finance partner to senior leadership, providing insight on development performance, returns and capital allocation
- Supporting investment decision-making through project-level and portfolio-level analysis
- Working closely with development and project teams to track costs, cashflow and performance across live schemes
- Contributing to long-term business planning and financial strategy
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Modelling
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple projects and jurisdictions
- Maintaining oversight of cashflow and funding requirements as the pipeline expands
- Supporting financial modelling for new development opportunities and expansion into operational living assets, such as BTR, co-living, PBSA or senior living
- Systems, Process & Growth Support
- Driving improvements to financial systems, processes and internal controls as the business scales
- Overseeing and developing reporting frameworks suitable for a growing, investor-focused platform
- Liaising with external advisors including auditors, banks, tax specialists and funding partners
- Providing hands-on support where required in a fast-moving SME environment
This role will suit a fully qualified accountant with experience in property development, real estate investment or a related sector, ideally within a growth-stage or SME environment. You will bring strong technical capability alongside commercial awareness, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business. Exposure to operational living asset classes β or a genuine interest in developing this expertise β will be highly beneficial.
