A leading organization in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex change initiatives. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in business analysis, within the financial services industry, and will be responsible for leading analysis work across a range of high-profile and complex projects. The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring business needs are understood, solutions are defined and delivered effectively, and stakeholder expectations are managed across the entire project lifecycle. This role also includes oversight responsibilities for other Business Analysts on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to Business Analysts and colleagues.
- Act as a role model by embodying organizational values and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Contribute to the development of a high-motivation team environment and support leadership in maintaining staff morale and communication.
- Drive internal improvement initiatives across the Business Analysis function and the broader Change team.
- Serve as a key member of the Solution Owner Group to ensure solutions align with business strategy and objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers in defining project scope and approach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure accurate requirement gathering and solution validation.
- Lead the analysis phase for strategic projects and oversee work of other analysts as required.
- Investigate, capture, and document detailed business requirements and process flows.
- Ensure all documentation, including solution designs and test plans, meet agreed standards.
- Approve and review technical documentation, mapping specifications, and test strategies.
- Identify product gaps and contribute to roadmap planning in partnership with Product Management.
- Provide and validate project cost estimates based on detailed solution definitions.
- Monitor and review Business Analyst estimates throughout project life cycles.
- Ensure successful handover of project deliverables to Business-as-Usual teams.
Essential Background/Skills
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to coach and mentor others.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and requirements engineering skills.
