Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SCRUM Master to join a dynamic software engineering function at the heart of a large-scale transformation. You’ll be supporting high-performing development squads focused on delivering robust, user-centric software solutions.

As a SCRUM Master, you’ll play a key role in guiding agile practices across multiple teams, fostering continuous improvement, and enabling squads to operate autonomously while producing high-quality results. You’ll also take an active role in coaching, mentoring, and line-managing engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Facilitate all SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
  • Champion agile values and foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams
  • Serve as a coach and mentor for squad members, helping to build agile maturity and autonomy
  • Remove blockers and shield squads from external interruptions to maximise delivery focus
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed, actionable backlog
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and encourage knowledge sharing between SCRUM Masters
  • Support recruitment efforts, contribute to training plans, and help define best practices
  • Maintain working documents such as the Definition of Ready/Done with a pragmatic focus on team collaboration over rigid process

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with proven experience as a SCRUM Master
  • Formal SCRUM Master training and/or certification
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Experience using agile delivery tools (Jira, Trello, or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Comfortable working across cross-functional teams, including remote or distributed squads
  • Ability to influence without authority and communicate the \”why\” behind agile practices

Desirable:

  • Coaching or mentoring certification
  • Knowledge of additional agile frameworks beyond SCRUM (SAFe, LeSS, or Kanban)

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Are:

  • Passionate about building high-performing, collaborative teams
  • A confident communicator with a positive, pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Driven and self-starting, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • A natural “people person” who builds trust and engagement across teams
