Payments or FX Sales Executive
Location: Hybrid, 3 days a week in London
A fast-growing, venture-backed fintech company is seeking a high-performing Sales Executive to join its London-based commercial team.
This role is an exciting opportunity to help drive new business acquisition in the UK market for a leading cross-border payments platform focused on enabling seamless money transfers to and from emerging markets, particularly across Africa.
With support from top-tier investors and accolades including “Fintech Start-Up of the Year,” the company is on a mission to eliminate friction in international business payments. The Sales Executive will play a key role in expanding market share, building client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth through outbound sales and strategic engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage prospective clients using a variety of outbound strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person networking.
- Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification through to product demonstration, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Leverage industry knowledge and foreign exchange (FX) expertise to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities while consistently exceeding monthly sales quotas.
- Work consultatively with stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation to navigate complex sales processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Management team to ensure seamless onboarding and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B sales within the payments or FX space.
- Proven success in selling to clients across regions such as EMEA and LATAM.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (both verbal and written).
- Self-starter with a resilient, goal-oriented mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent organisational skills, including pipeline management and time prioritisation.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
- Existing client book or established network within the FX/payments sector is a strong advantage.
