Data Reporting Analyst (Experience within the mortgage industry)

Up to £50k – Permanent – Hybrid (2 days a week in Bracknell)

A specialist mortgage lender is looking for a Reporting Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality data reporting and analytical solutions to support both internal operations and externally facing requirements.

This role ensures that data insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives, while also playing a key part in maintaining data integrity across reporting platforms.

We are looking for someone that has experience withing the mortgage industry, outside of a bank or consultancy setting.

Key Responsibilities

Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support operational and external reporting needs. Manage incoming helpdesk tickets related to queries, incidents, changes, and report requests. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements, ensuring deliverables add genuine value. Design and develop interactive dashboards and new reports aligned with business goals. Ensure all reporting artefacts follow internal coding standards and development life cycle practices. Validate reports created by other team members to maintain reporting accuracy and consistency. Conduct peer reviews, unit testing, and functional testing to uphold data quality. Contribute to broader Reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives and projects. Ensure reported data reflects the underlying systems accurately. Assist in the maintenance of data dictionaries and labeling within the data warehouse and ETL systems. Support and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and resilient team environment. Stay up to date with relevant technologies and maintain technical competencies. Ensure completion of all required training in a timely and effective manner. Develop and maintain procedural documentation for recurring tasks in line with documentation standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proficient in working with UK mortgage data, including portfolio onboarding, new lending, and securitisations. Experience with Kimball-based star schema data warehouses. Strong capabilities in reporting and data visualisation using: Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL Power BI SSRS Microsoft Excel Azure DevOps Performance tuning techniques Solid understanding of interpreting business requirements into technical solutions. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes. Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end mortgage data lifecycle. Familiarity with financial services regulations such as Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly (training available).

Desirable Skills

Experience with SSAS and SSIS. Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and modern data warehouse methodologies #J-18808-Ljbffr
