Description: Ensure complaints are dealt with effectively for Leicestershire Police. As a Professional Standards Investigator, you’ll lead and support investigations relating to members of staff or Police Officers arising from complaints and intelligence. This important role can see the investigations you undertake leading to criminal offences or disciplinary action when needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify, secure and review all relevant material relating to public complaints
- Obtain witness evidence from victims and witnesses
- Assume the role of Investigating Officer for misconduct hearings
The must haves:
- Educated to degree standard, or have experience of working at a level requiring the use of English to degree standard
- Knowledge of legislation and procedures associated with the investigation of serious crime and corruption
- Experience in a role requiring the use of investigation skills in dispute/conflict resolution
