Our Fareham based client is an expanding technology business operating in the payments and fintech infrastructure space. They are seeking a UI/UX Design Engineer to join a highly technical, developer-heavy team building a large-scale payment orchestration platform. The products support complex user journeys and enterprise-level workflows. This role has been created to introduce stronger structure, consistency and ownership across UI and UX as the platform continues to grow. This is a fully on-site, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys close collaboration, quick decision-making and being embedded with engineers and developers.
The Role
- Own and improve the UI and UX across customer-facing applications and internal tools
- Design and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Ensure consistency and usability across new and existing features
- Work closely with engineers to define and implement production-ready interfaces
- Balance design thinking with practical delivery
Requirements
- Strong UI/UX and/or front-end working experience
- Experience building or contributing towards design systems/component libraries
- Significant experience with Figma, Sketch or similar design tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage well in a team working environment
Desirable Skills
- Background working on large, complex SaaS or enterprise products
- Exposure to Golang and/or PHP
- Experience with TypeScript or Lit Elements
