We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to play a key role in ensuring the quality of a modern, evolving platform. You’ll be working with the latest automation tools, helping to shape testing practices, and maintaining high standards across a growing engineering function. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the Newcastle office.
You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated test solutions, while collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing with development processes
- Identify opportunities to expand automation and improve test coverage
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure stability across releases
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution
- Create and maintain test data, environments, and supporting frameworks
- Monitor test results and report on quality metrics to stakeholders
- Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to best practices
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in QA and automation
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with C#
- Solid background in automation testing and quality assurance
- Experience translating business requirements into effective test cases
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Experience working with APIs and databases
- Proven ability to improve processes and testing strategies
