I'm currently supporting a well-known retail brand that is investing heavily in its internal IT function and looking to hire an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in improving and stabilising a large Microsoft-based environment, working across infrastructure, cloud, networking and security technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 3rd line support for complex technical issues
- Managing Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
- Supporting Azure infrastructure and cloud services
- Leading patching, vulnerability management and security improvements
- Managing backup and disaster recovery processes
- Working with networking, firewalls and email security platforms
- Supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations and improvement projects
- Collaborating with a team of experienced IT professionals
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a 3rd Line Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Senior IT Support role
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows experience
- Azure administration experience
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting medium to large-sized organisations
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
Nice To Have
- Retail or e-commerce experience
- CCNA or Azure certifications
- Experience with Mimecast, Proofpoint or Microsoft Defender
- Backup & Disaster Recovery expertise
- PowerShell scripting experience
