We are working with a business looking for a Technical SME to play a key role across a major AI and automation transformation programme. This is a strategic, non-hands-on role focused on technical governance, vendor management, AI workflow validation, architecture oversight, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to long-term business objectives. You will work closely with Product, Architecture, AI specialists, delivery teams, and third-party vendors across a complex transformation environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with external vendors and challenge solution approaches
- Validate architecture decisions, scalability, and technical feasibility
- Support AI-enabled and agentic workflow evaluation and governance
- Identify technical risks, integration concerns, and technical debt implications
- Review APIs, workflow integrations, and enterprise platform alignment
- Work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and delivery leadership
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Support governance forums, documentation, testing oversight, and roadmap enablement
- Provide oversight across BAU technical activities within the Virtual Content Studio environment

- Experience operating as a Technical SME, Technical Lead, Solutions Consultant, or Architecture-focused leader within large transformation programmes
- Strong experience challenging and governing third-party vendor implementations
- Good understanding of AI, automation, orchestration, and agentic workflows
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise platform ecosystems
- Strong technical risk management and solution governance experience
- Comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Experience within agile, cross-functional delivery environments
- Ability to operate within emerging technology environments where best practices are still evolving
