They are now looking for an Engineering Manager to join their expanding technology team and lead a group of engineers building scalable, high-impact digital products used by thousands of customers. As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead one or more cross-functional engineering teams, helping deliver reliable, scalable software while supporting engineers in their growth and development. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and senior stakeholders from discovery through to delivery, ensuring teams are building the right solutions in an effective and sustainable way.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers across multiple squads
- Drive delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable products and services
- Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with Product and Design teams on roadmap planning and execution
- Support architectural direction and technical decision-making across the platform
- Champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and cloud infrastructure
- Improve development workflows, release processes, and operational efficiency
- Encourage experimentation and adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools where valuable
- Previous experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Strong technical background across backend, full-stack, or platform engineering
- Experience overseeing end-to-end software delivery and operational ownership
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and CI/CD tooling
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable making pragmatic technical and architectural decisions in fast-moving environments
- A collaborative leader who enjoys coaching and enabling high-performing teams
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
- Exposure to Python, Flask, MySQL, TypeScript, and React
- Knowledge of scalability, cost optimisation, and security best practices
