develop are working with their London based local authority client to source a Head of PMO to support a high-profile transformation portfolio. This role forms part of a broader organisational change programme driven by recent political and strategic developments within the council. You will play a pivotal role in establishing and embedding programme governance, delivery frameworks, and PMO best practices across a complex and diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and ongoing management of PMO frameworks and governance structures
- Drive consistency and best practice across large-scale transformation programmes
- Oversee and coordinate delivery activity across multiple service areas within the council
- Provide programme-level reporting, assurance, and stakeholder management
- Embed robust programme controls, processes, and delivery standards
- Support transformation initiatives spanning both digital and operational change
- Work across a varied portfolio including services such as libraries, parking, and wider public services
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in senior PMO roles within large, complex local authority environments
- Strong track record of establishing and scaling PMO functions in local government
