About the Role
We’re partnering with a high-growth, data and insights-driven business operating at the intersection of product, commercial, and client strategy, to hire a Product Strategist. This is a highly client-facing role focused on co-developing innovative products with Private Equity clients, ensuring solutions are grounded in real market needs and deliver tangible value. You’ll act as the bridge between client challenges and internal product teams, translating insights into scalable, market-leading product propositions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead client discovery to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs within Private Equity
- Translate insights into product strategy, propositions, and business cases
- Partner with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams to design, test, and scale new offerings
- Engage directly with clients (approx. 60% of your time) to validate ideas and ensure product-market fit
- Run proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot programmes to test demand and refine solutions
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
- Support business development conversations by contributing product expertise and solution demonstrations
- Shape go-to-market strategies and product roadmaps
What We’re Looking For
We’re open to two core backgrounds:
- Private Equity professionals with strong market understanding and client exposure
- Strategy/Product professionals from consulting, financial intelligence, or research/benchmarking environments
Key skills and experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in product strategy, consulting, private equity, investment banking, or similar
- Strong understanding of the Private Equity ecosystem and stakeholder landscape
- Proven ability to run structured discovery and client interviews
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to build and evaluate business cases
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Interest or experience in AI-driven products or workflows is beneficial
