We're working with a high-growth fintech building next-generation card issuing and payments infrastructure powered by stablecoins. The platform enables Visa and Mastercard card issuance without reliance on traditional banking partners, allowing near-instant settlement for merchants, end users to spend in their preferred currencies and full custody of assets to remain with the user. The business has gone from concept to live product in under a year, has secured multi-million dollar VC funding, and is already live with well-known partners in the crypto and fintech ecosystem. Usage is accelerating rapidly, and the company is now scaling its partner and customer-facing technical function.
This is a Founding Solutions Engineer role, a rare chance to join early and help define how technical partnerships are delivered. It's a hybrid role combining:
- Solutions Engineering
- Customer Success
- Technical Product input
You’ll own the end-to-end technical journey for partners, from pre-sales through integration, launch, and expansion, working closely with sales, product, and backend engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner & Customer Ownership
- Act as the primary technical contact for partners
- Guide customers through API integrations and onboarding
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues
- Support partners post-launch and help them scale
- Pre-Sales Technical Support
- Join sales calls as the technical expert
- Answer deep technical questions from customer engineering teams
- Review partner architectures and advise on integration approaches
- Help assess technical fit during the sales process
- Product & Engineering Collaboration
- Work closely with backend engineers to design scalable APIs
- Feed real customer pain points into the product roadmap
- Identify recurring issues and patterns across integrations
- Improve documentation, integration guides, and best practices
- Help establish the Solutions / Partner Engineering function from the ground up
- Create processes, standards, and tooling as the company scales
What We’re Looking For
- Experience
- 5–10 years' experience in software engineering or technical partner roles
- 3+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Partner Engineer, or similar customer-facing role
- Strong experience within card payments PSPs, acquirers, issuers, networks, or processors
- Fintech experience essential; crypto / blockchain exposure is a plus
- Technical
- Strong experience with APIs and system integrations
- Comfortable reviewing architectures and explaining trade-offs
- Tech stack is TypeScript, but a language-agnostic mindset is key
- Personal Attributes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments
- Confident working directly with customers and pushing back when needed
- Product-minded with strong commercial awareness
- Motivated by ownership and impact rather than process
Salary up to £150k DOE
