Although we work with a standardised set of solutions, the diversity of our client base means exposure to a broad range of technologies and vendor ecosystems. We actively encourage engineers to propose improvements, contribute to automation initiatives, and introduce new ideas that enhance our service offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource throughout the full lifecycle of both internal and customer projects — including solution design, implementation, testing (system and user acceptance), documentation, and final handover.
- Review and approve planned installations, upgrades and change requests when required. Ensure appropriate implementation, test, and contingency plans are in place and that new changes do not compromise existing systems.
- Provide regular progress updates to Project Managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Produce high‐quality technical documentation such as design specifications, plans, proposals, handover materials and training guides.
- Support the sales team with technical pre‐sales activities, including preparing proposals and delivering presentations to prospects and customers.
- Review sales proposals where requested, ensuring technical accuracy, alignment with internal standards, and appropriateness of the recommended solution.
- Recommend robust, cost‐effective software, hardware and communication components, ensuring risks and potential failure impacts are clearly assessed.
- Suggest emerging or relevant technologies to senior technical leadership for evaluation.
- Maintain an up‐to‐date understanding of the full solution and product portfolio.
- Obtain and maintain relevant vendor certifications as agreed with the Technical Lead.
- Adhere to internal change‐control processes.
- Accurately record all billable time within the designated PSA system.
- Conduct technical audits of client environments and prepare corresponding reports and recommendations.
- Act as a technical mentor for colleagues, particularly junior team members, contributing to their development.
Technical Skills & Experience Required
- Strong experience with virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware (VCP ideal).
- Hands‐on experience migrating workloads to cloud environments including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft cloud security tools such as MFA, Intune, compliance/security features and email security.

- Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 (e.g., email migrations, Intune deployments, AIP, Azure AD Join, AD Connect, SharePoint Online, DLP, MDM).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and root‐cause analysis skills.
- Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with remote desktop technologies such as VDI, AVD, Citrix or Terminal Services.

- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Salt.
- Understanding of cloud‐based telephony (Teams, 3CX, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of Linux.
