Lending Operations Manager Glasgow (hybrid, 3 days/week in office) | up to Β£80,000 DOE A fast-growing specialist mortgage lender is looking for a Lending Operations Manager to own the end-to-end operational delivery of its residential mortgage lending process. Off the back of 80%+ growth last year and a 50%+ target for 2026, this is a high-impact role at the heart of the business. This isn't an underwriting role, and it's not an Underwriting Team Leader position. Underwriters make the lending decisions and Case Managers package the applications

this role owns everything around that: how cases move through the pipeline, where the bottlenecks are, and how operations scale without losing control. What you'll do Own day-to-day lending operations from pre-application through to completion Manage pipeline volumes, workflow allocation, and team capacity to hit turnaround and service targets Lead a data-driven continuous improvement programme, working with tech/product teams on automation and workflow redesign Lead and develop an operations team of 12, alongside a dedicated Underwriting Team Leader Report on pipeline performance and improvements to senior leadership Partner with risk, compliance, and sales to keep operations aligned with FCA expectations What we're looking for Mortgage experience with a solid understanding of the underwriting process

direct underwriting experience not required A broad operational leader who's owned a wide function, not just one process Strong pace, energy, and hands-on problem-solving ability Good data literacy and comfort using MI to drive decisions A technology-first, commercially minded approach Confidence dealing directly with brokers and clients Ambition to step up into a bigger, broader remit Candidates from small or medium-sized businesses with broad operational ownership are of particular interest. This role suits someone happy to take ownership independently

it's not about building a big team, it's about driving results. What's on offer Annual performance bonus (cash and growth shares) Hybrid working, 30 days' holiday +
