Working Pattern: Predominantly office-based

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a BI & ERP Data Analyst to join a growing business in High Wycombe.

The organisation has recently rolled out a new ERP system across the wider group and is looking for someone who can take ownership of its data, reporting and business intelligence capabilities.

This role will focus on analysing large volumes of ERP and customer data, improving reporting and data quality, and turning information into meaningful commercial insight. You will work closely with teams across Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Engineering, Operations and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse ERP and customer data to identify trends, patterns and commercial opportunities.
  • Build, maintain and improve ERP reporting, dashboards and operational reports.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and management information.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful KPIs and actionable insight.
  • Analyse customer buying patterns and identify opportunities for more proactive, data-led sales activity.
  • Own and improve data quality, reporting definitions, governance rules and data integrity.
  • Support ERP data migration activity, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation and cutover reporting.
  • Develop exception reporting and identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and data processes.
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled data capabilities by ensuring underlying datasets and reporting processes are accurate, reliable and well governed.
  • Work closely with the ERP Data Manager and wider IT and business teams.

About You

We are looking for someone with genuine experience working with ERP data and reporting who can combine strong technical analytical skills with commercial understanding.

Previous experience with the specific ERP system is not essential, but you should have experience working with an ERP environment and be comfortable dealing with large volumes of business data.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with ERP data, reporting or business systems.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to investigate data in detail.
  • Experience with SQL and/or Power BI.
  • Experience building dashboards, reports and management information.
  • Understanding of data modelling and DAX within Power BI.
  • Experience identifying and resolving data quality or integrity issues.
  • The ability to understand business requirements and translate them into useful reporting and insight.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data governance and controls.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Previous experience with Acumatica or a similar ERP platform.
  • ERP configuration or customisation experience.
  • Experience with ERP migration projects, data mapping or reconciliation.
  • Python or Power Automate experience.
  • Experience within wholesale, distribution, logistics or another order-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting AI, automation or data-led technology initiatives.

Commercial Focus

This is not simply a reporting role. A key part of the position will be understanding how the business can make better use of its data commercially.

You will investigate customer behaviour, buying patterns and transactional data to identify opportunities for the Sales team to become more proactive and data-led.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable asking questions about the data, challenging what they see and translating analysis into practical recommendations for the wider business.

The organisation is actively exploring how AI and automation can be incorporated into its business and data capabilities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to future AI and automation initiatives by helping to establish reliable, accurate and well-governed data foundations.

What We Offer

  • Two additional annual bonuses, typically around Β£1,000–£2,000 each.
  • 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays.
  • Paid overtime for hours worked beyond the standard working day.
  • Permanent position with long-term progression opportunities.
  • Exposure to a significant ERP and data transformation programme.
  • Opportunity to work across a wide range of business functions and international teams.
  • High Wycombe office-based environment.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a business at an important stage of its data and ERP journey.

The role is newly created and offers the chance to take ownership of how data is used across the organisation, improve the quality and accessibility of reporting, and help turn a large volume of ERP information into genuine commercial insight.

If you are an ERP-focused Data Analyst, BI Analyst or similar professional who enjoys working with data and wants to have a direct impact on business decision-making, this could be an excellent opportunity.
