We are working with a growing security and intelligence organisation that leverages technology and data to inform analysis and decision-making for clients across Defence, Intelligence, and Security sectors. As Head of Technology, you will define and execute the organisations technology strategy, leading a talented team of data and technology professionals. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, you'll play a key role in scaling the data, analytics, and AI capability while driving innovation, technical maturity, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a clear technology, data, and AI strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a multi-disciplinary technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Oversee the delivery of technology and data projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and quality standards
  • Shape and manage the technology roadmap, driving continuous improvement and capability development
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and create competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to design technical solutions and support bids and proposals for new business

About You

  • Proven experience in technology leadership roles (Head of Technology, CTO, Technical Director, or similar)
  • Strong technical background in computer science, big data, and cloud environments (AWS)
  • Experience scaling technology or data teams within a start-up, SME, or autonomous business unit
  • Commercially astute, with experience in cost modelling, proposals, and resource planning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and operate at executive level
  • Entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset, with a passion for innovation, delivery, and team growth
