Our client, a growing specialist mortgage lender is seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst to join its Product team and support the delivery of strategic business change across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mortgage industry experience who is looking to develop their career within project management, change delivery, and business analysis. The role offers broad exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver initiatives that improve processes, technology, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency.

The Role

Reporting into the Business Analysis Lead, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering projects across the mortgage lifecycle while supporting requirements gathering and analysis activities where needed. You will work closely with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Underwriting, Sales, Compliance, Technology, and external suppliers to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned to business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the delivery of projects and business change initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and governance documentation
  • Managing project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications
  • Facilitating workshops, meetings, and project discussions
  • Supporting business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Assisting with process mapping, impact assessments, and solution design activities
  • Coordinating testing, implementation, and business readiness activities
  • Supporting project governance, prioritisation, and reporting processes
  • Working collaboratively across business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong understanding of the mortgage market and a desire to build a long-term career in project delivery and business change. To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience working within the mortgage or lending sector
  • Knowledge of mortgage processes, underwriting, affordability, completions, and servicing
  • Experience supporting projects, change initiatives, or business improvement programmes
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work effectively in a growing and evolving business environment
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Project, or similar tools would be beneficial but is not essential
