We are seeking an experienced Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer to join our client working on a major industrial software package installation. You will own the creation, testing, and deployment of complex installation packages using InstallShield to ensure reliable, repeatable, enterprise-grade deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain and test Windows installers (InstallShield) for a substantial, enterprise-grade software package.
• Manage complex dependencies, configuration, registry entries, service installs- ensure reliable installs on server and client environments.
• Work with the broader engineering / operations team to ensure the installer meets all deployment requirements.
• Support packaging for updates, patches, and future releases- ensuring upgrade paths remain stable.
• Provide documentation for installation steps, dependencies, and post-install configuration.
• Troubleshoot installation failures and support remediation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong, proven experience in application packaging / installer creation on Windows (MSI, InstallShield)
• Experience building complex installers for enterprise-grade / large software (services, database integrations, multiple components)- not just simple desktop apps with C# .NET
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Batch, or other) for installer automation, custom actions, or post-install configuration.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS, registry, services, permissions, and enterprise deployment constraints.
• Ideally experience in software packaging for large-scale applications (industrial / plant-historian / enterprise systems).
