They’re now looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer to join their growing engineering team and play a key role across both platform development and live client delivery.
This is a hands‑on opportunity for an engineer with around 4-5 years’ experience who wants to combine
AI engineering and client‑facing technical delivery
, while having genuine influence over the technical direction of a growing product.
The Role
As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering and client delivery.
Around half of your time will focus on building and strengthening the pipelines, data models and platform infrastructure behind the product.
The other half will involve applying those capabilities to live client engagements, working alongside consultants to understand requirements and develop robust, reproducible solutions.
This is a hands‑on role with no initial direct reports, but you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help establish engineering standards as the team grows.

- Design and maintain robust quality assurance and citation processes around AI‑generated outputs
- Own data models and ingestion pipelines for portfolio and issuer data
- Develop evaluation frameworks and benchmark pipeline performance
- Improve the reliability and consistency of probabilistic AI outputs so they are suitable for production use
- Work with large datasets and build pipelines that other teams and clients depend on
- Contribute to backend services and APIs supporting the wider platform
- Support deployment, monitoring, and observability across engineering workflows
- Own technical work end‑to‑end, from initial design through to production
- Help establish engineering standards, testing practices and development processes as the team scales
- Client Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with consultants to translate methodologies into reproducible and auditable technical solutions
- Support the delivery of established methodologies across new client engagements Occasionally work directly with clients to understand requirements and explain technical approaches
- Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of outputs before they reach clients
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards across the team
- We're Looking For
- Around 4-5 years’ professional experience in software or data engineering
- Production experience working with
- Large Language Models
- , including prompt design and evaluation
- Experience making probabilistic AI outputs reliable enough for production environments
- Strong SQL and relational data modelling experience
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines that other teams rely on
- Cloud experience, ideally
- Microsoft Azure or GCP
- Proven ability to own work end‑to‑end, from design through deployment and monitoring
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in an environment where requirements and scope aren't always fully defined
- Financial services, investment management, ESG, or sustainability experience
- Experience with document processing and information extraction at scale
- Experience introducing AI evaluation, testing, or quality assurance practices into a production product
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
Why Apply?
- Up to £70,000 salary + share options + discretionary bonus
- Hybrid working (1-2 days per week in London)
- Hands‑on role across AI, data engineering and platform development
- Work directly on live client engagements and see the impact of what you build
- Genuine influence over technical direction within a growing engineering team
- Work with production AI rather than experimental or purely theoretical use cases
- Opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help shape engineering standards
- Small, collaborative team with a direct connection between engineering and client outcomes
- Clear opportunity to take ownership of key technical areas as the business grows
If you're an experienced Software or Data Engineer with strong Python and production LLM experience, and you're looking for a role where you can combine hands‑on engineering with real client impact and technical ownership.
