This role is focused on developing and expanding strategic airline accounts, working directly with major aviation customers to drive long-term technology partnerships and large-scale transformation programmes. The business has built an incredibly strong reputation within aviation and is already deeply embedded with a number of major airline customers. One of their flagship accounts has become one of the largest and most successful partnerships within the organisation, and they are now looking to replicate that success across another major airline customer where there is significant untapped growth potential. This is not a transactional sales role. They are looking for experienced solution sellers who can operate at C-suite level, understand complex technology environments and build long-term strategic relationships around cloud, AI and digital transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing strategic airline customer accounts across complex technology transformation programmes
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and executive leadership teams
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts through cloud, AI, data and customer transformation initiatives
- Selling consultative technology solutions rather than transactional products or staffing services
- Leading strategic account planning and long-term growth initiatives across key aviation customers
- Collaborating with technical and delivery teams to shape solutions aligned to customer objectives
- Supporting large-scale RFPs, commercial proposals and enterprise solution discussions
- Acting as a trusted advisor to airline customers, understanding both operational and technical challenges
- Working closely with internal leadership, presales and solution architecture teams to drive successful customer outcomes
- Managing complex sales cycles which may involve multiple stakeholders and long implementation timelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Account Director, Client Director or Strategic Account Management roles within technology consulting or enterprise technology environments
- Strong experience selling complex technology solutions rather than standalone products or transactional services
- Experience selling cloud, digital transformation, AI, customer experience or enterprise technology solutions
- Strong understanding of AWS or cloud-based transformation environments
- Experience operating within large enterprise accounts and driving long-term account growth strategies
