A Senior Backend Engineer is required to join a large financial institution based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide impactful feedback in a timely manner.
- Design automated test scripts that rigorously assess both functional and non-functional product requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Formulate detailed, methodical test plans and cases that set the framework for reliable outcomes.
- Manage the testing timetable, giving thoughtful consideration to task prioritisation, planning, and coordination.
- Meticulously record, document, and monitor bugs, and verify their resolution through comprehensive regression testing.
- Innovate and refine testing procedures for both new and established products to align with client objectives.
- Monitor key QA indicators, such as defect rates and active defect tallies.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing tools and methodologies to keep our testing strategy ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
- Mastery of Quality Assurance and Test Automation practices.
- Proficiency in programming with Python or a comparable language for test scripting.
- Extensive experience in various testing disciplines, including performance and integration testing, as well as automated test execution.
- Familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development and its application in acceptance testing.
- Practical experience with software integration and system testing in cloud environments.
- Competency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, with the capacity to integrate within Build pipelines, and utilising tools such as Git and Gitlab.
