Most media moves too quickly. Faster opinions. Shorter clips. Disposable content. But some knowledge was never meant to be consumed that way. How do we build things that last? What do the people preserving generational knowledge understand that the rest of us are in danger of forgetting?

DEVA VICTRIX is building a long-form documentary and conversation series with the people preserving enduring knowledge across food, land, craftsmanship, culture and long-term thinking. Chefs. Farmers. Land stewards. Craftspeople. Builders of worlds. This is not content for algorithms. It is an archive. Recorded slowly. Built to endure.

The Role: I am looking for a Founding Story Editor to help shape the editorial language of DEVA VICTRIX from the beginning. Not simply an editor. A storyteller. Someone capable of shaping rhythm, atmosphere, emotional truth and meaning. Someone who understands that silence has weight. That restraint matters. That what is removed matters as much as what remains. I am not looking for someone to simply cut footage. I am looking for editorial judgement. Taste. Patience. Sensitivity to story.

The work will involve shaping long-form filmed conversations, documentary narratives and a visual language designed for the long game. This role will likely resonate with someone who cares deeply about:

  • documentary or cinematic storytelling
  • emotional pacing and editorial rhythm
  • meaningful conversation
  • craft, food, land, culture or systems thinking
  • work intended to endure

Podcast experience is welcome. Documentary instinct matters more. Taste matters. Patience matters. Editorial judgement matters. This is a founding role with meaningful creative influence from the beginning.

What Already Exists:

  • a clear editorial philosophy
  • a developed visual identity
  • an emerging guest network
  • deep seriousness about the craft
  • long-term ambition

Transparency: DEVA VICTRIX is in an early building phase with a long horizon. The focus right now is simple: finding the right person. Someone interested in shaping meaningful work from the beginning. London preferred. Remote possible for the right collaborator.

If This Resonates: Please send:

  • examples of work (if available)
  • a brief introduction
  • what resonates about the project

If this feels unusually familiar, there is a good chance we should speak.
