Company Name: Colten Care
Job Description:
Nationwide & overseas Full‑time £32,000 after training with regular pay rises.
Life as a Pharmacist Officer is like nothing else. You’ll go above and beyond the typical civilian pharmacist role, using the full breadth of your knowledge and applying it to a military environment. You’ll be at the centre of our medical care, the one we rely on to give the best medical care and advice we need to keep our troops healthy. You’ll build bonds that never break and fulfil a purpose like no other, in a role that really matters. You’ll take on opportunities and challenges that are unique to the Army. You could be advising senior commanders and GPs in primary care or giving vital pharmaceutical support to overseas bases. As our trusted expert, you’ll give guidance on distributing medical suppliers and pharmaceutical care in Defence Medical Group Hospital Units (DMG). In times of conflict, you could deploy with a field hospital to some of the most remote corners of the world, providing ward‑based clinical service where and when it’s most needed. Wherever the Army takes you, you’ll learn to adapt until you’re the best in your field.
As a qualified pharmacist, you have the skills, training and knowledge your Army needs. We give you the chance to take those skills further, being part of something that’s bigger than you and has an impact that stretches around the world. From the moment you join the Army, you’ll be set on a clear path for promotion and progression. You’ll receive all the support and opportunity you need to rise through the ranks and unleash your potential – as clinical or staff and command. But we’ll also prepare you for a life outside of the Army by providing you with opportunities to get qualifications that are recognised by civilian employers. We’ll support you with funding for conferences, postgraduate studies and independent prescriber qualifications. With our help, you can choose to specialise in Clinical Pharmacy or Non‑medical Prescribing.
As an Army Pharmacist, you’ll get the best military and professional training there is. As well as learning basic soldiering, you’ll learn the specialist skills you need to become an expert in your role. With Army Officer training, we’ll help you to become the best you can be.
