Senior SQL Server Developer
Location : London based role (flexible/remote working available with weekly visits to the London office).
Salary & Benefits : ÂŁ57,861 â ÂŁ75,710 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, up to 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays. We also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices, and regular home working.

Our Team : The GCT Lab team are part of Group Transformation. We work together to solve complex problems for Treasury through building, implementing and supporting strategic technology solutions.
Weâre looking for a SQL Server Developer to work on Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) data-intensive applications.
Our flat teams will encourage and empower you to make decisions, build positive relationships, and deliver a meaningful difference to our customers, colleagues, and communities.
Hereâs where youâll make a difference
Prototyping and development of ETL routines and data storage solutions with a strong focus on performance, reliability and maintainability.
Passion for technology and writing clean, maintainable & performant code.
Writing test scripts, code reviews and technical documentation.
Participating in the agile process to produce rapid delivery of customer features.
Youâll understand and apply industry best practices, foster knowledge sharing to provide solutions for complex business problems where no precedent may exist, and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate.
Understand tradeâoffs of taking one approach over another, and be able to articulate in a clear and concise manner the whyâs and howâs of that approach. Be open to discussing ideas and listening to different perspectives.
Focussing on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles.
What we need from you â essential skills & experience
Comprehensive experience of SQL Server and in particular developing and supporting SSIS packages for the transformation of data using the principles of ETL. Demonstrable experience using SSIS (especially data flows), TâSQL.
Experience of developing reports in SSRS would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts.
Experience of working within agile project management framework.
Experience of any of the following would be beneficial, but are not essential
Data warehousing experience.
SSAS Cube development.
Power BI.
BIML experience.
Git repository use.
C#.
Query Optimisation.
