About the Role

We're looking for a Transport Clerk to join our team in Totton, playing a key role in supporting the day-to-day transport operation. You'll help ensure deliveries are completed efficiently, compliance standards are maintained, and drivers receive the support they need to deliver excellent service to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing customer Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, including scanning, uploading and resolving missing PODs and returns.
  • Conducting daily driver briefings and debriefings.
  • Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Supporting the wider transport team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, transport legislation and Health & Safety standards.
  • Identifying and reporting any operational concerns or compliance issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records and transport documentation.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and thrives in a busy operational environment. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using transport management systems such as Microlise and Tachomaster.
  • An understanding of driver hours regulations, Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements and transport compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
