About the Role
We’re now looking for a Transport First Line Manager (Secondment) to play a key role in our transport operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead our dynamic team to achieve excellence and drive success throughout our transport network. Join us and be a key player in shaping the future of logistics!
Responsibilities
- To be a 21st Century Manager leading and managing drivers and the wider Transport Team.
- Responsible for the safe, legal and efficient execution of transport operations during a duty shift to customer SLA's/KPI's.
- To schedule, prepare and conduct monthly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines & allocated objectives.
- Management of short & long term driver absence and disciplinaries in line with policy, ensuring all colleagues comply with the DHL Code of conduct.
- Carry out a minimum of 5 safety conversations per week while ensuring near miss & hazard reporting is being carried out.
- Promote positive culture, supporting EOS initiatives including nominations for recognizing excellence.
Required Skills
- Experience of working as a supervisor/manager within the Logistics Industry.
- Transport legal compliance.
- H&S compliance, ensuring and promoting the best H&S Standards.
- Supervisory skills - managing individual performance / absenteeism / conflict and development.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: Competitive
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Shift patterns: Days, 3 week rotating rota, average of 38 hours.
