In this Transport Planner role, you will design and optimize transport plans to boost efficiency and service levels. You will work within the Operations team to meet KPIs, manage subcontractors, and drive improvements across the transport network. The position emphasizes collaboration with sites, suppliers, and customers to deliver reliable logistics solutions. You’ll operate TMS to optimize loads and routes, supporting profitability and continuous improvement. This is a fast-paced, impact-focused opportunity in a global logistics leader.

Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate transport operations using TMS (load building, route creation, vehicle and driver allocation)
- Deliver transport plans within deadlines while achieving utilisation, load fill and service KPIs
- Monitor network performance and support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and profitability
- Manage subcontractor and agency relationships and secure additional resources as needed
- Build strong relationships with transport sites, suppliers, customers and operations teams to ensure service excellence and clear communication
Key requirements
- Transport planning experience (essential)
- Strong understanding of transport operations
- Analytical problem-solver capable of working under pressure
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Organised with strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and transport management systems
- Knowledge of driver regulations and flexible in supporting operations
