You will coordinate transport activities to support airline and network requirements, manage and develop a team of drivers and operational colleagues, and work closely with the Transport Manager to achieve operational KPI targets. With a strong focus on safety, compliance, service performance, and people leadership, you will help maintain a smooth-running operation while supporting continuous improvement across the site.________________________________________What You’ll Be DoingCoordinating freight collections and deliveries with CAL Airlines, including the movement of ULDs.Ensuring driver coverage is in place to support operational and airline requirements.Managing late freight and flight recoveries to keep shipments moving on time.Supporting the Transport Manager to achieve team KPIs and service targets.Supervising daily transport and ramp operations at LHR.Monitoring driver hours and digital tachograph records.Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.Monitoring overtime, holidays, and absence levels to maintain operational coverage.Leading, coaching, and developing colleagues through regular feedback and performance discussions.Identifying training needs and supporting colleague development.Delivering CIS training and ensuring team compliance.Keeping all mandatory training up to date.Maintaining PD boards and supporting continuous improvement activities.Completing, or working towards, the CIM Supervisory Journey.Supporting wider DHL operations and undertaking additional duties as required.________________________________________What You’ll BringStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop colleagues.Sound understanding of transport, warehouse, and network operations, ideally within an airside or aviation environment.A methodical approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively across all levels of the operation.The ability to make decisions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and other unsocial hours as required.Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational systems.An understanding of business objectives and a commitment to delivering excellent service and operational performance.Previous supervisory, team leader, or people management experience (preferred).Dangerous Goods qualification (or the ability to obtain and maintain certification).________________________________________ð️ Closing Date: 16th September 2026Apply now and be part of a team that keeps the world moving. ______________________________________ð Our Recruitment ProcessWe aim to make your recruitment journey smooth, transparent, and engaging.
