Overview
As IT Director – Customer Solutions you will steer IT delivery and governance for Defence and Public Sector bids in DHL Supply Chain.
You’ll align IT products and services with Sales, Business Development, and Solution Design to drive growth and customer retention.
You shape strategic IT direction for key pursuits, foster senior stakeholder relationships, and ensure differentiated, value-driven solutions.
This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role in a global logistics context with a strong focus on governance and high-value bids.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, IT Product, and Solution Design to translate commercial priorities into IT engagement and solution strategies
- Define and govern IT strategies for key pursuits and customer accounts with clear architectural alignment
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and strategic customers to identify tech-led differentiation opportunities
- Plan and manage the IT business development pipeline across key customers and pursuits for high-value growth
- Lead IT involvement in strategic customer bids, tenders, and commercial opportunities to ensure differentiated solutions
- Oversee governance of bid-related work in the Customer Solutions team, providing quality assurance and constructive challenge
- Key requirements
- Logistics and/or Supply Chain industry experience is essential
- Experience on Defence or Public Sector IT bids and tenders
- Strong customer engagement and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and make decisions under pressure
- Resilience and readiness to challenge colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Experience delivering or supporting large-scale (30m+) multi-site, multi-application projects or tenders
