Position Overview
The United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) investment banking coverage team is a leading UKI-focused corporate broking and advisory franchise across all key investment banking products. Furthermore, Deutsche Bank acts as corporate broker to over 125 clients, making it one of the largest broking franchises and offering clients UKI equity market expertise, unrivalled investor connectivity and market-leading Equity Capital Markets (ECM). The team predominantly focuses on servicing FTSE100 clients, through acting on high profile listings and cross-border strategic/Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) matters and converting/maintaining corporate broking mandates. You will interact with and advise both retained and target corporate clients, manage the preparation of advisory and pitch decks, and work on a variety of transaction types across the product suite. You will be directly responsible for regular client engagement, managing transaction processes, and assisting in providing regulatory, market-based and corporate finance advice as well as helping in the development of team members.
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice to clients around equity story positioning, fundraising requirements, M&A and defence advice.
- Manage transaction processes across the investment banking product suite liaising with clients, internal teams, regulators and managing other advisers.
- Utilise strong technical skills including financial, valuation, sector and market knowledge for the benefit of our corporate client base.
- Coordinate and produce marketing materials for target corporate clients and situations.
- Service clients day-to-day, expressing relevant information and communicating clearly in meetings and emails; delivering solutions to clients using sector, market and product knowledge.
- Engage with the broader Investment Banking Capital Markets platform to help deliver for our clients and mentor and develop team members.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience within an Investment Banking, Corporate Broking or Corporate Finance role.
- Good communication skills together with interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, whether presenting to clients or senior executives.
- Able to develop creative solutions to meet client needs and identify cross-product opportunities.
