About the Role: Natural Resource Finance Structured (NRF Structured), a specialist team within the Corporate Bank, is a leading arranger of structured debt facilities across energy and natural resources. Typical financing structures include Reserve Based Lending, Pre-Export Finance/Prepayment, Borrowing Based Finance and Project Finance. NRF Structured is supported by dedicated infrastructure teams including agency, deal management, and governance functions. You will support the growth of the team’s portfolio in EMEA and cooperate in cross-regional transactions with other NRF and/or Trade Finance and Lending teams.

Your key responsibilities:
- Identify suitable financing options in cooperation with coverage teams.
- Provide structuring expertise to clients/prospects, while accounting for financial/non-financial risks.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence including financial, technical, legal/other.
- Oversee financial modelling & analysis and agree risk appetite with group head and calculate and adhere to the risk vs. return hurdles.
- Lead deal teams to obtain relevant internal approvals and negotiate term sheet, loan documentation, together with internal and/or external advisors.
- Ensure adherence to internal collateral recognition standards, support primary and secondary syndication/sell-down to approved holds, co-ordinate with external stakeholders such as client, legal advisors, and collateral auditors/appraisers.
Your skills and experience:
- Able to lead diverse deal teams from mandate origination to execution and monitoring of complex structured finance transactions.
- Originate new transactions in the natural resources sector with focus on transitioning clients and projects.
- Develop and implement structuring solutions in line with risk appetite, assist in market placement, drive internal approvals to delivery exposure strategies and evaluate, mitigate and monitor deal specific risks.
- Strong credit risk analysis skills, including financial/contractual/macro risks and knowledge of global commodity markets.
- Pro-active engagement with clients and internal stakeholders from all lines of defense – predominantly with coverage and risk functions.
