The Group Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Central Patch Management Function is responsible for the overall oversight and governance of the Bank’s Patch Management process. In addition to the overall oversight, the GTI Central Patch Management Function provides specialist, independent governance and reporting services for a defined subset of on-boarded Asset Types within the Patch Management scope.
The GTI Central Patch Management Function:
- Is responsible for the content, publication, communication and clarification of the Patch Management KOD, supplementary KOD, Knowledge Articles and related training materials.
- Defines the requirements and guidelines for the creation, maintenance, verification, and quality assurance of patch deployment reporting.
- Defines the guidelines and specific requirements for undertaking Patch Management related risk assessments if required patches cannot be deployed into production.
- Provides timely and consistent responses to external questionnaires and regulatory queries relating to Patch Management.

Your key responsibilities:
- You will be required to work closely with technology units to ensure accurate, complete and consistent patch reporting is established, sustained and timely and regularly provided.
- You will assist the technology units in the identification of efficiency improvements that can contribute towards improving the rate, success and consistency of the patching undertaken by the technology units.
- Establishing and operating new governance procedures and controls.
- The identification, establishment and adherence of new or enhanced KPIs and related IT risk/senior management reporting.
- The establishment of new and/or enhanced governance capabilities and associated reporting.
- The creation of new or enhanced patch management standards and guidelines.
Your skills and experience:
- A very good understanding of patch management and a broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence to challenge professionally and ‘speak up’.
- Experience in undertaking risk management activities e.g. operating/performing control governance duties, identifying new risks etc.
- Good data analysis skills – be able to analyse provided reports.
- A strong team player ethic, working with dispersed teams across multiple countries.
- Experience in IT in large environments, operational experience and technical education.
