Legal is hiring a Senior Corporate Secretary for its UKI Corporate Secretariat (UKI Cosec) team in London. You will be responsible for supporting the Boards and Committees of DWS FCA regulated legal entities in the UK, driving best practice and enhancing the efficiency of board management processes using technology. You will provide expert, collaborative and seamless board meeting organisation and guide the Boards on governance best practice and policies.
The Legal department sits within the Chief Executive Office of Deutsche Bank and provides advice to the Management Board, business divisions, and infrastructure teams. UKI Cosec provides governance support to DB and DWS legal entities and their boards in the UK and Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Company Secretary with impeccable organisational skills and strong stakeholder management capability to be part of DB’s UKI Corporate Secretariat and to contribute to the success of DWS in the UK.
Your key responsibilities
- Support and manage all aspects of DWS Board and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, review and distribution of meeting materials and writing minutes.
- Partner with the Chair, DWS senior management and meeting contributors to deliver collaborative and seamless meetings.
- Provide subject matter expertise on corporate governance policies and protocols, including agenda planning and quality assurance of meeting materials.
- Ensure effective record keeping including maintaining official records and documents including minutes, authorised signatories and powers of attorney and making necessary filings in corporate registries.
Your skills and experience
- Experience within financial services regulated environment, ideally investment management.
- Strong understanding of board meeting dynamics, information requirements and criteria for effective board management of a regulated entity in the UK.
- Technology mindset, proficient at utilising relevant toolsets to improve delivery efficiency, including board portals.
- Highly organized, adaptable and detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to simplify complex topics. Assertive yet collaborative in stakeholder engagement.
- A Degree in a relevant field (Legal, Governance, Finance, Business, Economics) or equivalent work experience.
