The seasonal internship is a 6 month full-time programme (September 2026 – March 2027) for students who are looking for a long-term internship as part of, or to complete their degree.

About the programme: The Deutsche Bank Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You'll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first-hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. You'll feel supported by colleagues from across our business and start to develop your professional network.

About the division: Our Investment Banking & Capital Markets business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors. We recognize that selecting the right investment banking partner can be the key to a company's success. We offer both buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services (including our dedicated Environmental Social Governance (ESG) solutions) and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

About the role: Our interns are given the opportunity to learn about our business from different viewpoints, giving you a career advantage. Working on our day-to-day business as well as on special projects, you will contribute to the innovation of new ideas to help our customers achieve their financial goals. You will gain experience in different areas of our business and discover our market-leading solutions firsthand. Your day-to-day tasks may vary depending on your business area, but intern responsibilities may include:

  • Performing in-depth company and industry research and analysis
  • Supporting the execution of client advisory and financial transactions, managing multiple projects
  • Preparing marketing materials and transaction documentation, including but not limited to confidential memoranda, board papers, pitch books, corporate profiles, and analysis
  • Conducting detailed financial modelling, valuation and forecasting of financial statements
  • Broking activities—supporting public clients through market analysis, investor materials, and engagement, to build a strong understanding of how mid- and large-cap companies enhance valuations, access capital, and pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Working with the Equity Sales and Research teams, to service public clients to track and win IPO opportunities.
  • Understanding of the Bank's product suite

A formal mathematical or financial background isn't required. Our comprehensive training programmes will provide you technical skills you'll need to build a career with us.

To be eligible for the 2026 Seasonal Internship Programme you must:

  • Be currently enrolled in and complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st August 2026 and 31st July 2027.
  • Be returning to study after internship completion, in March 2027, or using the 6 month internship as part of the studies completion.
  • Be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree. If you are currently studying a masters degree then you must be on track for a pass.
  • Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience (excluding internships)
  • Be available for internship dates between September 2026 – March 2027
  • If successful on the seasonal internship programme, be able to start full time work in July 2027, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.

For some placements within Investment Banking and Capital Markets, in addition to English, fluency in a European language is desirable.
