Electronic Trading Governance and Controls (ETGC) is part of the Market Conduct Office (MCO) within Investment Bank Central and is responsible for electronic trading governance and control frameworks relating to operational risk, conduct risk and regulation, in the Investment Bank and beyond. Residing within the Front Office and reporting up into the Head of the IB, MCO provides governance and oversight for all DB activities related to market conduct and Electronic Trading.

You will be joining the Electronic Trading Governance and Control function, primarily focusing on conduct risk, and supporting regulatory risks and interactions.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain the Electronic Trading conduct risk and control framework.
  • Manage the conduct risk assessment process and challenge business self-assessments by conducting independent reviews and recommending enhancements where required.
  • Work with 1st and 2nd line functions to assist with related processes including for Inventories and Material Change.
  • Support audit and regulatory reviews and projects in relation to Electronic Trading.
  • Work with the wider ETGC team and technology to document requirements, prioritise development, test and sign off changes to risk assessment, MI and workflow systems, in support of streamlining and converging the various types of assessments.
  • Support Electronic Trading governance forums by preparing materials and minutes.
  • Assist Electronic Trading governance activities including incident reviews.

Your skills and experience:

  • Good knowledge of Electronic Trading and/or risk management frameworks, automated and Algorithmic Trading including DEA.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulation including MiFID, MAR and Senior Managers Regime, or equivalent.
  • Background in conduct risk management, Audit, Compliance or related consulting roles.
  • Experience in working with auditors, regulators, 1st line (business and technology) and 2nd line functions.
  • Solid oral and written communication to senior management.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
