The AFC team provides advisory and oversight across AML, sanctions, fraud, bribery, investigations, monitoring, and risk assessment. As a Senior Advisor in the BLAFC team you will support the business with financial crime advice, act as a senior escalation point, and partner with teams across UK and global jurisdictions.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support BLAFC CB/IB UK leads in managing the regional function and serve as an additional senior escalation point.
- Provide oversight and global coordination for financial crime matters related to Fixed Income & Currencies and Trust & Securities Services.
- Manage and coordinate BLAFC submissions into senior governance forums relevant to IB/CB products.
- Guide the business on strategic product, client, or other initiatives in the UK and globally; deliver Second‑Line‑of‑Defence oversight of First‑Line risk controls.
- Act as a senior escalation point for activities pertaining to CB & IB UK and globally, fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders worldwide.
- Serve as a BLAFC subject matter expert for core Second‑Line‑of‑Defence risk assessment and management processes.
Your Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in AFC business advisory across Corporate and Investment Banking products; experience with FinTech and digital assets is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulation and the AFC landscape in Germany, UK, and the United States.
- Ability to analyse, rationalise, recommend, and drive Second‑Line engagement on complex, multi‑product, multi‑regional AFC matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across divisions and seniority levels.
- Excellent collaboration skills, partnering effectively with peers globally.
