You will be joining the BLAFC team which advises the Deutsche Bank businesses on best practice and standards for risk-mitigation reflecting the applicable provisions of the German AML Act, the German Banking Act, and applicable local laws in each jurisdiction in which the business lines operate.

Your key responsibilities:
- Support development and enhancement of AFC related controls for O&A and ongoing business-as-usual AFC support for this business.
- Develop ongoing and open communication with representatives across the O&A business/other key stakeholders including Transaction Coordination Group, Client Lifecycle Management, Compliance Department, and Legal Department to ensure timely AFC support and continue to raise the profile/partnership model of AFC.
- Advise/drive AFC best practices and harmonisation to mitigate financial crime risk in O&A reflecting German AML Act, German Banking Act, United States (US), United Kingdom (UK), and local laws.
- Act as point of contact for ongoing O&A financial crime risk matters identifying cross-regional trends supporting execution of initiatives/projects and supporting AFC management of global client multi-jurisdictional adoptions, reviews, and escalations.
- Independently review and assess urgent escalations on possible new/existing O&A clients, products, transactions that present Financial Crime Risk for the Investment Bank in UK and Germany.
- Contribute to the creation of Management Information (MI) for various AFC forums and senior management.
Your skills and experience:
- 3 years of AFC experience in the financial services industry.
- Understanding of AML regulation and regulatory expectations in Germany, UK, and US.
- Able to analyse, understand, propose, and implement recommendations on key AFC matters.
- Knowledge of Investment Banking businesses and associated products.
- Able to communicate to all levels of the business/other key stakeholders (such as Client Lifecycle Management, Compliance Department, and Legal Department).
- Strategic and collaborative problem solving and proven analytical skills.
