Position Overview

As Lead Treasury Domain Architect, you will shape Treasury technology architecture across funding pools, asset and liability management, fiduciary buffer management, financial resource management, and risk-related processes. You will work with the Treasury Chief Information Officer, business teams, and Information Technology partners to support a significant transformation agenda focused on modernisation, automation, data controls, artificial intelligence, and insight-led capital management. This is an opportunity to connect architecture, regulatory expectations, and business priorities together in a global Treasury environment. You will help create clear, trusted solutions that support Deutsche Bank’s strategic aims and contribute to reliable, scalable outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

  • Guide the Treasury architecture blueprint and roadmap, working with teams to secure shared understanding and trusted agreement.
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to gather requirements, understand data inputs and outputs, and connect front-to-back functional processes.
  • Define non-functional requirements, including data volumes, throughput performance, retention, authentication, scalability, resilience, service level agreements, and regulatory needs.
  • Identify where existing systems can support requirements, and where new applications, data feeds, or enhancements are needed.
  • Produce architecture blueprints, technical solution documents, and records of key choices to support clear communication and shared delivery.
  • Cooperate with engineering partners, platform owners, programme managers, and business stakeholders to support solution alignment, risk awareness, audit engagement, and practical delivery.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven solution architecture experience, with the ability to connect broad Treasury architecture aims with detailed technical design.
  • Extensive financial services experience, supported by a strong understanding of Treasury functions, funding, liquidity, markets, issuance, or securitisation.
  • Detailed understanding of financial data, including reference data, trade data, market data, and risk data, together with a methodical approach to data controls.
  • Experience of the software development life cycle and how architecture choices support secure, scalable, resilient enterprise systems.
  • Technical background across server-side platforms, databases, data warehouses, reporting, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and common design patterns.
  • Skilled communicator who can share complex information clearly with developers, senior stakeholders, business partners, and Information Technology teams in a collaborative and inclusive way.
