Job Title: Global Head of Foreign Exchange (FX)

As part of the Investment Bank (IB) Cross Product Ops (CPO) organisation, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the FX functions globally, reporting directly to the Co-Head of IB CPO. You will serve as the primary contact for business leads and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth and controlled business operations. Your role includes delivering strategic improvements to enhance revenue, control, and processes, representing Deutsche Bank at industry forums, and partnering with FX peers to drive systemic industry improvements.

Your key responsibilities
- Participate in industry groups like AFME to promote industry transformation, focusing on reducing settlement and payment processing risks through PVP, Blockchain, and emerging technologies
- Implement industry best practices for measuring and reducing payment errors
- Prepare for T+1 settlement impact and atomic T0 settlement
- Oversee the global middle office function with local accountability in the UK
- Collaborate with regional management to ensure performance and control consistency across global Middle Office functions
- Represent Deutsche Bank in FX council and industry bodies
- Act as the primary contact for business issue resolution and strategy implementation
- Monitor risks and metrics, serving as escalation point for Middle Office issues globally
Your skills and experience
- Extensive FX Middle Office or operational experience
- Proven transformation delivery experience
- Knowledge of AFME and Bank of England forums
- Experience with audit, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with global teams in a matrix management environment
