Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities, and act as consultant for the bank, its clients, and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.
You will be responsible for the coverage of European Insurers, reporting to the Head of Financials Research. You will be assisting asset managers in deciding which stocks to invest in within the insurance sector. This involves formulation of stock- and sector-level investment theses, on‑going authoring and production of written research to promote investment views and marketing those views to internal and external clients. You will leverage relationships with companies under coverage as part of channel checks and due diligence efforts, while also organising ad‑hoc roadshows, client events and conferences.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist asset managers in deciding which stocks to invest in within the insurance sector.
- Use publicly available information to assess the financial performance and strategy of companies in the sector and form a view on relative and absolute valuation.
- Compare theoretical valuation with market price to determine if shares are rated as Buy, Sell or Hold.
- Write research reports and meet with institutional asset managers to discuss which companies are worth investing in or avoiding.
Your Skills And Experience
- Established equity research background with relevant experience and detailed knowledge of the European Insurance sector.
- Track record of idea origination and generation and ability to convert that into commercial research for clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively market ideas to internal and external client base.
- Experience with IPOs.
