This role, embedded within the Corporate Bank Coverage team, focuses on identifying new business opportunities, deal origination, managing client relationships, and collaborating across internal teams to deliver customised solutions for public sector clients.
You will support in originating profitable business opportunities with Public Sector bodies and corporations in UK & Ireland. You will provide clients with full access to the expertise and product range of Corporate Bank (Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, Foreign Exchange (FX) & Risk Management Solutions, Trust & Securities Services) and work in partnership with other parts of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities
- Initiating and building relationships with Public Sector bodies and Corporations in UK & Ireland
- Covering and advising Public Sector clients across the Corporate Bank product suite with a focus on Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, and Risk Management Solutions
- Leading strategic deal origination efforts across Corporate Bank product suite by identifying high-impact opportunities and aligning client needs with the Bank’s long-term public sector growth objectives
- Originating new-to-bank client relationships in Public Sector through various channels, including personal network and subsequently managing these client relationships holistically
- Contribute towards build-out and execution of UK Public Sector strategy in terms of leading client acquisition and relevant new product development efforts
- Working closely with Public Sector coverage teams across Europe for coordination and sharing best practices
Your skills and experience
- A strong network of relevant decision makers within UK & Ireland Public Sector space, at different levels of the administration (from Central Government to local authorities), National Agencies, Public Sector Corporates & Supranational organisations
- Previous experience in execution of financial products within Corporate and/or Investment Bank with a strong track record of originating new clients and partnering with product teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, effective and concise communicator at all levels. Ability to interact with and manage senior stakeholders externally/internally
- Strong networking skills and a proactive approach to working with colleagues across businesses and regions
- Good project management skills. Strong quantitative, numerical and analytical skills. Strong understanding of Know Your Client (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering and credit processes
- Educated to Bachelor\’s degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience preferably in finance, business administration, or a related field. Master\’s degree/relevant professional certification is a plus
