The mission of the Electronic Communications Board (ECOM) is to govern the Electronic Communications Systems (ECS) of the bank, based upon the policies and practices defined by DB policies and procedures. The ECOM is an essential central governance board which evaluates new or changed ECS and determines if they are essential to support the bank's capabilities and compliant with policies or requirements set by Compliance, Legal, Group Data Protection and CDO / Records Management as well as other key control functional areas.

As part of ECOM governance, this role will be responsible for overseeing reported operational issues impacting processes related to retention and monitoring. You will work with stakeholders ensuring outages are addressed in a timely manner and include appropriate remediation ensuring issues do not re-occur. This role is responsible for reporting incidents and issues directly to the Electronic Communications Board members ensuring timely updates.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teams and technology contacts for ECS applications to identify gaps in the retention and surveillance requirements previously identified by the ECOM board.
  • Providing oversight to the processes and procedures in place for gap remediation and reporting with technology contacts and architects for individual applications.
  • Providing reviews to the ECOM board on reported issues for ECS applications and action follow-up activities as requested.
  • Supporting the data integrity for the inventory of applications containing electronic communications used within the Bank.
  • Creating reports in your area of responsibility and presenting them to ECOM board and other external groups.
  • Reviewing and improving processes related to the tracking and reporting of issues to ensure the most timely reporting and remediation steps are followed.

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience in incident/problem management reporting related to the use/support of electronic communications within the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience in the use/support of electronic communications within the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience working across technology organizations for the implementation and/or remediation of functionality required to address regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in designing, maintaining and delivering auditable governance processes is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Comfortable dealing with both technical stakeholders (e.g. application owners, infrastructure teams) as well as control function partners (e.g. Legal and Compliance).
