Job Title Associate Engineer – Risk, Finance & Treasury (RFT)
Location London

In the RFT Chief Technology Office (CTO) team, you will be joining a small team of engineers defining and delivering shared strategic solutions for RFT. You will perform full stack development, including DevOps, on premise and on Public Cloud (GCP), as well as work with Group Technology Infrastructure (GTI) on RFTs requirements for Private Cloud.
We are looking for an engineer in the London development team. You will be practicing Agile (Kanban) methods to deliver complex software projects using an incremental and evolutionary approach.

Your key responsibilities
- A commitment to quality applying practices such as test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development
- Applying clean code principles to enable sustainable production solutions
- Participating in code review, pairing sessions, analysis, user support and sharing knowledge
- Supporting the existing collaborative and trusting environment
Your skills and experience
- Experience in Server side JVM (Java or other JVM languages)
- Experience with User Interface (UI) technologies such as React and experience developing micro services and deploying them in a service mesh
- Good understanding of relational (Postgres, Oracle, etc) and non relational (Mongo, BigTable, etc) databases and a history of working in a highly collaborative team environment
- Strong interest in technology and a commitment to continuous learning
- Understanding of Agile principles; test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development
- DevOps knowledge: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Container based deployment, e.g. OpenShift, GKE, Docker
